BEST CHRISTMAS COOKIES

2 tsp. cream of tartar
3 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. lard
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix like pie crust.

Add:

1 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. baking soda in 1 tsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well. Add to first mixture. Roll and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

SOUR CREAM FROSTING:

3 tbsp. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. soft butter
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix until smooth. Add 2 cups powdered sugar, gradually to mixture.
