ZESTY LASAGNA 
1 lg. ground beef
2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
2 - 6 oz. cans tomato paste
1 3/4 c. water
4 oz. can mushrooms, drained
2 bay leaves
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp. oregano
12 oz. sm. curd cottage cheese
2 1/2 c. (10 oz.) mozzarella cheese
8 oz. carton sour cream
6 lasagna noodles

Brown beef with garlic. Add tomato paste, water, mushrooms, bay leaves and seasonings. Simmer 30 minutes. Remove bay leaves. Cook noodles. Combine cottage cheese and sour cream. Layer half of each - noodles, meat sauce, and cottage cheese mixture in greased 8 x 12 x 2 inch dish. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake for 5 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Yields 6 servings.
