CRANBERRY BEAN SOUP 
1 bag Cranberry Beans
1/2 lb. ham or bacon
1 large onion
salt and pepper
pinch of baking soda
water

Sort and soak beans with a pinch of baking soda over night. Next day bring to a boil. Rinse and cover with water and add ham or bacon, onion, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until tender. Add water as needed during cooking time.
