APPLE--NUT CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c cooking oil
3 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. apples, chopped
1 c nuts, chopped
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt

Combine sugar, oil and eggs. Add flour which has been sifted with baking soda. Fold in, but do not beat, apples, nuts and flavorings. Bake in a tube pan or a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan at 325 degrees for about an hour.

BUTTERSCOTCH GLAZE
1/4 c. Carnation milk, (may use carton milk)
1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. butter

Mix and boil in saucepan for 3 minutes. Pour over cake hot or cold.
