APPLE PUDDING 
2 c. diced apples
1 c. sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts

Mix together apples and sugar, then add egg. Sift together dry ingredients; add to apple mixture and mix well. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour into ungreased 8x8 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

SAUCE:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. water

Cook sauce until thick and pour over pudding as soon as it comes out of the oven. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
