2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
3 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts
2/3 c. butter
4 tbsp. cornstarch
4 c. milk
3 egg whites, whipped & folded in last

Pour into unbaked pie shells, and bake until set. Makes 3 pies. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes and then at 375 degrees.
