FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can (16 oz.) fruit cocktail
1 egg, well beaten
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. chopped nuts

Mix dry ingredients together and mix with drained fruit cocktail. Add vanilla to well beaten egg. Fold egg into first mixture. Pour into greased 8 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and nut mixture over the top. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
