SAUCY CRANBERRY DESSERT 
2 c. unbleached flour
1 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter, soft
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. raw whole cranberries, washed & drained
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. light cream or evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter

Grease (not oil) 9 inch square pan. Blend first 7 ingredients in bowl, with mixer on low speed until moistened. Then beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Stir in cranberries. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.

In small pan, combine 1 cup sugar, 3/4 cup cream and 1/2 cup butter. Heat just to boiling. To serve: Spoon hot butter sauce over dessert squares. Very rich. Good during the Christmas season. (468 calories per serving.)
