POOR MAN'S FILET MIGNON | |
2 lbs. hamburger 4 pieces bread, crumbled 2 beaten eggs 1/2 c. milk 2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. minced onion 1/2 tsp. chili powder 2 tsp. dried celery flakes 1 (18 oz.) bottle smoke flavored BBQ sauce 12 slices raw bacon Mix all but bacon and BBQ sauce. Now add 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce to mixture. Form into 12 thick patties. Wrap a bacon slice around each patty. Secure with a toothpick. Bake on a rack (or grill outside) for 50 to 60 minutes or until desired doneness. Baste frequently with BBQ sauce. Serves 12. |
