HONEY DATE SQUARES 
4 eggs
1 c. honey
1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. dates, chopped
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. powdered sugar

Beat eggs until light and bubbly. Add honey and continue to beat for 20 seconds. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together; gradually add to egg mixture, beating well after each addition. Add walnuts and dates, mixing well. Stir in vanilla.

Place in buttered 9 x 13 x 1/4 inch cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes; center should be firm to touch. Cool; cut into 2 inch squares and roll squares in powdered sugar while still warm. Yield: 36 squares.
