NANNY'S CHRISTMAS COOKIES
1 cube butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. flour
2 1/2 c. oatmeal (powdered)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 (4 oz.) Hershey bar, finely grated

Note: Place oatmeal in blender and reduce to fine powder.

Blend butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together; set aside. Mix flour, oatmeal powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda together, then add to butter mixture. Add chocolate chips, walnuts and Hershey bar.

Make ping pong or golf ball size balls from dough. Place on large greased cookie sheet, leaving room for expansion. Cooking time is very important. Bake at 350 degrees for 5-8 minutes. Keep close watch - don't over cook. Makes a large, rich, heavy and moist cookie. They will get hard if you over cook.
