EASY SWEET-SOUR CARROTS 
1 lb. carrots
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. apple cider vinegar
1/4 block butter
Salt

Peel and cut carrots in small sticks. Boil and drain (salt to taste while boiling). After draining, add sugar, vinegar and butter on top of carrots. Simmer very low heat for about 10 minutes. Let set. (Better if made couple days in advance.)
