CORN AND POTATO CHOWDER 
4 strips bacon
1 onion
4 potatoes
1 can corn (cream style or whole)
1 c. water
1 can evaporated milk

Brown bacon; fry onions in bacon fat. Cube potatoes very small. Brown in bacon fat. Add water; simmer until potatoes are done. Add corn, milk, and water as needed (according to consistency desired). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
