CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES 
2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
24 oz. bag chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) plain Hershey bar, finely grated
3 c. chopped nuts

After measuring oatmeal, put small amount at a time in blender, until it turns to powder

Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix together all ingredients. Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar, and chopped nuts. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet. Make golf-ball size cookies, placing 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Makes 112 cookies.
