APPLE CHEDDAR CRESCENT COBBLER 
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. cinnamon
Dash salt
1 c. water
6 c. apples (6 med.)
4 oz. (1 c.) sharp Cheddar cheese
1 (8 oz.) can crescent rolls
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. butter, melted

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. In large saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt; mix well. Stir in water; add apples. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils, stirring occasionally. Simmer 2 minutes; remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese. Pour mixture into ungreased 13x9 inch pan.

Separate dough into 2 long rectangles. Place over apples; press together in center of pan.

In small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup cheese, nuts and butter; sprinkle over dough. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm. 12 servings.
