"STAR BLOSSOM COOKIES" 
1 3/4 c. flour (1/4 c. more for high altitude)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening or butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
1 pkg. chocolate stars

Cream shortening, sugars, egg and peanut butter; add vanilla and milk. Gradually add dry ingredients. Refrigerate 2 hours. Shape into balls. Bake at 350 degrees until slightly brown 6-8 minutes. Remove from oven and place star on cookies. Push star down so the cookie splits a little on the top. Return to oven a couple of minutes.
