HOBO BREAD 
2 c. raisins
4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. cooking oil
4 c. flour
2 c. boiling water
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix raisins, boiling water, and baking soda in large bowl. Cool and refrigerate overnight. Next morning, add the sugar, oil, salt, and flour (1 cup at a time). Mix thoroughly and pour into 3 (1 pound) coffee cans that have been greased and floured. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until long toothpick or straw comes out clean. Cool in cans for 15 minutes or more. Shake lightly and invert cans to get "bread" out.
