1/2 c. butter
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter, add sugar slowly, then unbeaten egg. Sift flour and baking powder. Combine with butter and egg mixture to make a stiff dough. Roll out very thin on lightly floured board. Cut with cutters dipped in flour. Decorate. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake 7-9 minutes.
