OVEN STEW | |
1 - 1 1/2 lbs. stew beef Garlic powder 1/4 tsp. marjoram, dried 1 env. onion soup mix 1/2 fresh onion 1 can golden mushroom soup 1/2 soup can red wine 1 soup can water 1/2 bag frozen baby carrots, defrosted Mushrooms, fresh or canned, if desired Set oven to 350 degrees. Cut beef in medium cubes. Do not brown; sprinkle with garlic powder. Place in heavy Dutch oven with tight fitting lid (or similar pot). Combine all ingredients, except carrots and mushrooms. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Add carrots and mushrooms. Bake an additional 45-60 minutes. |
