OYSTER STEW 
1 pt. oysters
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 qt. milk, scalded
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce (opt.)

Heat oysters in their liquor; add 1/4 cup butter, seasoning and Worcestershire sauce. when edges of oysters curl, add milk. Bring just to boiling, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat at once. Cut remaining butter in 6 pieces. Place in heated soup plates. Pour soup over butter and sprinkle with paprika. Serves 6.
