BARBECUE SAUCE 
1 tbsp. fat
1 tbsp. water
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1 c. low calorie catsup
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. liquid sweetener
pinch of oregano
salt and pepper to taste

Place fat in heavy pan. Add 1 tablespoon water. Add onion and brown. Add remaining ingredients and simmer over low flame for 1 hour. Remove garlic from sauce. This sauce may be used for basting meat or chicken while cooking or as a hot dip for meats at the table. Contains 240 calories. Each tablespoon has 9 calories.
