MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
1 lb. hamburger
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 can cream corn
1 c. milk
1/2 c. melted shortening
2 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 onion
1 can chopped green chiles
1/2 lb. grated cheese

Brown hamburger and onion and drain. Put in the bottom of cake pan. Put green chiles and grated cheese on hamburger. Mix cornmeal, eggs, milk, corn, shortening, soda, and salt. Pour entire mixture on top.
