PRIZE WINNING CHILI 
1 1/2 lbs. ground meat
1 lg. or 2 sm. onions, minced
1 can red kidney beans
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. Crisco or lard
1 can tomatoes (lg. can)

Mince onions and fry slowly until tender in Crisco or lard. When done, drain and use fat only, add your ground meat and fry until brown. Add paprika, chili powder and garlic salt; let brown a little longer, then add tomatoes, 1 1/2 level teaspoons salt or enough to taste; 1 tablespoon brown sugar. Simmer slowly until done. When ready, add kidney beans and heat. If you like more juice, add some hot water to mixture while still simmering, about 1 cup or more if you like.
