SPICED PECANS | |
2 tbsp. cold water 1 slightly beaten egg white (average size) 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. cloves 1/4 tsp. Allspice 1 lb. pecans, 3 to 4 cups Mix the first three ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add salt and spice and mix well. Dip nuts in mixture and coat well. Place nuts flat side down on greased cookie sheet. Bake in slow oven (250 degrees) until golden brown about one hour. |
