AUNT ALICE'S COCOA MERINGUE PIE 
1/4 c. cocoa
3/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 egg yolks
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pie shell, baked
2 egg whites
4 tbsp. sugar

Combine cocoa, sugar, cornstarch and salt in a pan. Add milk, slowly stirring well. Cook and stir constantly until mixture comes to boil and is thickened. Stir in egg yolks, one at a time. Cook on low, stirring all the time, about 3 minutes longer. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Pour in baked pie shell. Beat egg whites. Add sugar. When stiff, put on top of pie and brown in hot oven.
