1/2 lb. suet 3 lbs. coarse ground beef 1/2 c. grease from suet 1 qt. water 6 tbsp. chili powder 3 tsp. salt 10 cloves garlic, cut fine 1 tsp. cumin powder 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. red pepper 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 tbsp. sugar 9 tbsp. cracker meal 2 tsp. paprika Cut suet in small pieces and cook until grease is out. When grease is hot, add meat and garlic and cook until white but don't brown. Add water and simmer 2 hours or until meat is tender. Mix all together except cracker meal. Add to meat and cook 30 minutes (no longer). Mix cracker meal with enough water for thickening like for gravy and stir into meat. Mold it and freeze if more than you need. |
