3/4 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. flour

Cream butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, and salt. Stir in flour. Chill well. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Place a chocolate mint wafer in center of each. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove from sheets.
