BAKED STEAK WITH SOUR CREAM &
MUSHROOMS
 
2 lbs. ground steak
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. minced onion
1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. sour cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut steak into 6 serving pieces. Combine flour, salt and pepper in dish; dredge steak in flour mixture. Melt butter in large heavy skillet and brown steak on both sides; remove meat to well greased casserole dish. Cook onion in butter remains in skillet until golden and soft; pour over meat. Cover the meat and onion with mushrooms, mushroom soup and sour cream mixture. Bake, covered, for 1 3/4 to 2 hours or until steak is tender. Serves 6.
