3 pkg. active dry yeast 3/4 c. water 2 eggs 2 tbsp. salt 3 1/2 tbsp. sugar 6 tbsp. oil 7 c. flour Dissolve yeast in water. In a small bowl, beat eggs. Add salt, sugar, oil and yeast. Add flour. Knead until smooth. Divide dough in 4 parts. Roll each into the shape of a pencil. Pinch off pieces of dough, shape like donuts. Let rise in warm place. Boil water in large pot. Put bagels in boiling water. When they rise to top of pot, remove to baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or golden brown. |
