ORANGE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. raisins, grind
1 orange rind, grind
2 c. flour
1 c. sour cream
Vanilla

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add slightly beaten eggs. Sift flour and salt together and add to mixture alternately with sour cream. Add soda dissolved in a little hot water. Stir. Add raisins and orange rind that have been chopped fine. Add vanilla. Bake about 1 hour in slow oven. Bake at 325- 350 degree oven, 9x13 pan.

TOPPING:

Use a mixture of orange juice and brown sugar. Pour on cake when hot.
