STIR UP SUNDAY PUDDING
This pudding is made the first Sunday in Advent. The bowl is passed around the dinner table and each family member stirs it and make a wish. The pudding is stored to be served Christmas day - when each wish should come true.

1 c. pitted and minced dates
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. sugar (either brown or white)
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs, separated

Combine the first ingredients with the two beaten egg yolks. Pass the bowl around for each family member to stir and make their wish. Then fold in the two stiffly beaten egg whites and 1/8 teaspoon salt.

Bake in a WELL GREASED 9 inch ring mold at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Cool in pan. Turn out and frost with whipped cream. Decorate with green and red cherries. Freeze until Christmas day. This may be frozen before frosting if you wish. Then frost before serving.
