CREAM PUFF DESSERT | |
1 c. water 1/2 c. butter Heat to a rolling boil and stir in 1 cup flour all at once. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball (about 1 minute). Remove from heat, and BEAT in thoroughly, 1 at a time, 4 eggs. Beat until smooth and velvety. Put in 11 x 14 inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Push (mountains) down when cooling. CUSTARD FILLING: 1 c. milk 2 egg yolks 5 tbsp. cornstarch 3/4 c. sugar Pinch salt Blend above ingredients. BOIL 3 1/2 cups milk. Add blended ingredients to boiling milk, stir until thick. Add 2 teaspoons vanilla and spread on crust. Cool. Add whipping topping before serving. |
