1 lb. ground beef 1 env. dehydrated onion soup 1/2 c. water 1 c. catsup 2 tbsp. prepared mustard 2 tbsp. vinegar 2 (1 lb., 12 oz. each) cans pork and beans Bacon slices Cook and stir the beef on medium heat, until red color is out. Turn it into a 2 1/2 quart baking dish and add soup mix. Pour the 1/2 cup water into skillet and stir to loosen browned bits and juices; pour into casserole. Add remaining ingredients, except bacon slices. Stir with a fork to mix well. Place uncooked bacon slices over top. Bake in 400 degree oven for 30 minutes or until bubbly. Makes 8 servings. To reduce fat in this dish, the bacon slices may be cooked separately in skillet, drained and then place on top of casserole. |
