CORNMEAL BISCUITS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cornmeal
2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. buttermilk
1/3 c. cooking oil

Stir together flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. Mix buttermilk and cooking oil. Pour mixture over flour mixture, stir with fork. Knead dough on lightly floured surface 10 to 12 strokes. Roll or pat dough 1/2 inch thick. Use a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 450 degrees for 12 minutes.

Great recipe! I like my cornbread a little sweeter, so I added 1/3 cup of sugar to this recipe. Fantastic! Great with morning coffee.
