POLYNESIAN APPETIZERS
1 tbsp. brown sugar, packed
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. ground ginger
1 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 (8 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks
1/3 c. pineapple juice (reserved from canned pineapple)
8 oz. small link sausage

Drain pineapple, reserving 1/3 cup of the juice. Cook and drain sausage. In a one quart casserole blend brown sugar, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, water, soy sauce and pineapple juice. Cut each sausage into thirds. Stir into casserole with pineapple chunks. Microwave on high for 3 to 7 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Stir 3 or 4 times. Serve with toothpicks. NOTE: This can also be cooked on stove on medium heat until thickened.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
