GRANDMA'S SWEET MUFFINS 
1 egg, beat slightly
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. oil
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. (each muffin) jelly (optional)
Variations:
1/2 c. finely chopped apples
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. blueberries

Add milk and oil to egg and mix. Mix together dry ingredients and add in one lump. Stir until moist. If desired, add apples, nuts, raisins or blueberries. Place dough in 12 muffin cup liners. If desired, place jelly on top of each cup of batter. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
