1 c. sugar 1 c. shortening (1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. shortening) 1 egg 1/2 tsp. butter flavor 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add egg, then flavorings. Sift dry ingredients. Mix. Make pieces of dough size of walnuts. Press down with fork dipped in water. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes. |
