GREEN TOMATO & ONION PICKLES 
16 green tomatoes (med. size)
6 onions, sliced thin
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. pickling spices (in a sm. cheesecloth bag)
2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water

Mix all above ingredients in large cooking pot. Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes or until tomatoes are tender but not mushy. Pour in sterilized canning jars. Seal as directed by manufacturer.
