DINANA SHORE'S PECAN PIE 
1 1/4 c. dark corn syrup
1 c. brown sugar (packed)

Bring to a boil and add 4 tablespoons butter, remove from heat and cool a few minutes so that when you add to eggs they won't cook.

In a large bowl beat 4 large eggs until fluffy. Add the sugar mixture to eggs slowly while still beating.

2 to 2 1/2 c. pecans, don't skim on nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Then add pecans. Add vanilla and salt. Pour 1/2 in crust and set in oven and finish pouring filling in crust. This is to keep from spilling. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Knife test comes out clean.
