FLAVORFUL POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter (room temp.)
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. lemon extract
1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
6 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk

Cream butter and Crisco until fluffy. Add sugar, a half cup at a time creaming after each addition. Stir in vanilla, lemon extract and juice. Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.

Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until tests done. Cool 15 minutes in pan on rack. Remove from pan and finish cooling. Keeps well and freezes well.
