CHICKEN AND RICE CASSEROLE 
1 frying chicken or desired parts
1 stick butter
1 c. dry rice
2 1/2 c. water
1 pkg. onion soup mix

Melt butter in baking dish. Salt and pepper chicken and roll in melted butter. Pour the rice around the chicken pieces and add water. Pour on the dry soup mix. Cover tightly with foil. Bake 1 hour 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
