CRISP PICKLE SLICES 
4 qts. sliced, unpeeled, med. cucumbers
6 med. onions
2 sliced green peppers
3 cloves garlic
1/2 c. pickling salt
Cracked ice
3 c. cider vinegar
2 tbsp. mustard seed
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed

Mix cucumbers, onions, green peppers, garlic and salt. Cover with cracked ice and let stand for three hours. Drain well and remove garlic.

Mix rest of ingredients and pour over cucumbers. Bring to a boil. Pack in hot jars, leave 1/2 inch space. Process in hot bath for five minutes. Makes 8 pints.
