DUTCH COUNTRY BEAN SOUP 
1 lb. Northern beans, soaked overnight
ham bone
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. diced celery
salt and pepper
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 c. diced potatoes
2 tsp. parsley

Drain beans; add fresh water and cook slowly with ham bone for 2 hours. Put in onion, celery, potatoes, tomato sauce, parsley, salt and pepper and simmer until vegetables are soft. Remove ham bone; trim off all meat and add to soup.
