BANANA BREAD 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed banana
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream the shortening, add sugar a little at a time. Cream well. Blend in eggs one at a time. Beat well. Mix in banana. Mix all dry ingredients together and add to mixture; add nuts.

Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan or use muffin pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes or muffins 20-25 minutes.
