LEMON NUT CAKE 
1 lb. butter
1 lb. brown sugar
6 eggs, separated
2 3/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 lb. white raising
1 qt. shelled pecans, chopped

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks. Beat well. Add flour, baking powder and extract. Mix well. Add raisins and pecans. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in tube pan at 250 degrees for 2 hours.
