CHOCOLATE CRISP COOKIES 
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 square unsweetened chocolate, melted
3/4 tsp. vanilla

Measure flour, soda and salt into sifter. Cream butter with brown sugar until fluffy; beat in egg, melted chocolate and vanilla. Sift in flour mixture, blending well to make a soft dough. Shape into long rolls (2), wrap tightly in wax paper. Chill overnight. Slice dough 1/8" thick and place on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until done. Remove from cookie sheets and cool on wire racks.
