SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
Mix these and put aside:

1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts (very fine)

Mix and sift in one bowl:

3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder (level)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream:

1/2 lb. butter (2 strips)
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten with sugar
1/2 pt. sour cream - I use 1 pt. for moister cake
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour mixture to cream mixture - fold in sour cream (it is a thick batter). Spread 1/3 of batter thin on bottom of greased and floured spring tube pan. On top of first layer sprinkle some nut mixture, continue for 2 more layers (3 all together) - last layer save some nuts for top - bake 1 hour at 350 degrees, test with cake tester through the dough.
