DUTCH - OVEN BEEF | |
1 tbsp. salad oil 1 1/2 lb. lean chuck, cubes 1 1/2 c. sliced onion 1 clove garlic, crushed 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms 1 tbsp. chopped parsley Dash pepper 1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves 1 can tomatoes 1. In hot oil in Dutch oven, saute beef cubes until browned all over. 2. Add onion, garlic and mushrooms; cook 2 minutes. 3. Add remaining ingredients, mixing well; simmer, covered, 1 1/2 hours, or until beef is tender. Serve over noodles or rice. |
