SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE | |
1 c. (2 sticks) butter 3 c. sugar 6 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. almond extract 3 c. sifted plain flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 c. (8 oz.) dairy sour cream Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan or 12- cup bundt pan. In large mixer bowl, cream butter. Gradually add sugar, beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, and flavorings. Sift together flour, salt and soda. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in cake comes out clean. Cool about 15 minutes in pan. |
