HONEY - BRAN MUFFINS 
1 1/2 c. whole bran cereal
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped dates or raisins
1 1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. honey
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Wheat germ for garnish

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In large bowl mix cereal and milk; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in egg, honey, butter. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, dates; sprinkle over bran mixture. Stir just until blended. Fill greased pans 2/3 full. Sprinkle top with wheat germ;

Bake at 400°F muffin size for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center of muffin comes out clean..
